Low water pressure at home: where to start

A clear way to describe low or changing water pressure before arranging plumbing assessment.

Low water pressure can show up at a single fitting or throughout a property. Start by noting which taps, showers or appliances are affected and whether the change is constant or happens at particular times.

Do not adjust valves or pump equipment if you are unsure what they control. Instead, record whether there has been recent work, a visible leak, unusual noises or a change in water use.

This information helps distinguish a local fixture concern from a broader pipework, pump or supply issue and supports a more focused assessment.
