Possible pool plumbing leak? Observations that help a diagnosis
A practical starting point when water loss, equipment behaviour or visible dampness raises questions about pool plumbing.
Water loss around a pool can have several causes, so it helps to observe the pattern before assuming a particular fault. Note whether the loss changes when the pump is running and whether dampness appears around visible pipework or equipment.
Do not alter electrical or pump controls if you are unsure how they work. Take photographs of visible equipment and record any unusual noise, pressure change or water level pattern.
A detailed enquiry can then identify whether the next conversation should focus on pool plumbing, surrounding pipework or a wider water-loss investigation.
