Geyser repair or replacement: information to gather before deciding
A practical way to describe a hot-water problem before discussing repair, replacement or a new installation.
The right next step depends on the fault, the condition of the existing unit and the property’s hot-water needs. Do not assume that every loss of hot water requires the same repair or replacement.
Note the unit’s approximate age if known, whether it is leaking, whether power is tripping, how much hot water remains and whether water damage is visible around the installation.
